Open FG8+ (Reg, Grant, Slavo, David C, Steve, Mick, Jon C, David P coxed by Lydia) finished 5th of 9 in their class in a time of 10.14.8 (less than half a second slower than the 4x) and 12th of 55 Masters crews racing.
Women's CD8+ (Charlene, Soraya, Claudia, Carol, Ursula, Linda, Clare, Maja coxed by Emily) finishes 2nd of 6 in their class in a time of 10.55.8 just 3 seconds behind the winners. They were the second fastest women's crew on the day and finished 26th of 55 Masters crews racing.
Open DE4x (Carlos, Jon W, Neil and Tom F) finished 3rd of 4 in their class in a time of 12.03.4 and 47th of 55 Masters crews racing.
It was a great day's racing, with super cakes! Thanks to Neil for towing there and to Pete for towing home. Molesey hired us the two eights. Lydia travelled from Bedford to cox and Emily from Wallingford and their contributions are hugely appreciated - it's easy for an 8 to give it their all when they have confidence in the cox to steer a great course, give great calls and generally hold the crew together.
